Looking to start your own service based business online ? then its the right time, even i want to discuss on that topic. Like, How to start ? Where to start ? How to proceed ? and How to make money ? all these questions even i had in my mind. I did few research and understood the practical insights of service businesses. I want to share you those points here, which helps any one looking to start his own service business.
First of all, business over Internet is not so easy. It requires unique idea, dedication, hard work, investment of time/money and finally, marketing efforts. People do say like: i will quickly earn extra money from Internet. I don’t know any short cuts….if you come across, share with me.
- What i have learned from the past years ? is that: business over Internet is almost the same like real world business.
Business, i mean here is a real business, not just writing on a blog post ! Starting yourself from scratch till you succeed.

Few examples of service businesses that i am thinking here are:

- a graphics designer service
- a professional consultant (for a particular market) or
- a professional developer (for anything in a market) etc.

First, Understand Your Own Knowledge.
The foremost step for a service business before you start, understand your own knowledge and strengths. You are going to start, you are going to offer service to others, then you must know “where you are now ?” List down you own experiences and skill set.

For example, as a consultant, understand where people face problems and where they need a consultant. Identify such situations and see, how your knowledge and experience could provide them a better solution ?
- Focus about people problem then only you could succeed in that market and also, profit comes in. Try to provide unique solution to those problems and this way, you could stand out from the competition.
In the earlier stage of your service business, you could not fully understand what really the people need. Going forward, you could realize well about their needs and tweak your strategies to make better solutions. Always understand the market and see how well you could establish yourself in it. Start With Trial Services.
Now you are very much clear about your scope. You know your market. You know solution/service.
