3 Ways to Create Successful eBook

by: Mr. Ven 1

To some, there is nothing more exciting than putting your work out into the public world, and seeing if it becomes that next hot topic. Maybe it will create huge echoes in respective twitter- and blogospheres. Perhaps you will even make a good amount of change in the endeavor or even gather a large following. However, for your self-published eBook to become a success, you would do well to follow these tips.

Add Something Innovative to the eBook Experience

I frankly find it appalling that so many eBooks are following the same old print publishing format. eBooks are not just limited to an artistic cover, an author’s photo, and a bunch of text. At the very least, you could add some hyperlinks as most people will be reading your eBook on some device with internet access.

Furthermore, you could add videos, images, or audio as well to create a whole, unified aesthetic experience. I don’t think it would be too off-the-wall to introduce some type of “soundtrack” to accompany your writing material, and if you contact the right, independent musicians, you will be able to add it for free.

Make Sure You Have an Online Following

For the love of all things holy, start a blog already. Create a Twitter account. I know, especially for some of you “writer types,” the idea of self-promoting and marketing yourself online is completely against why you decided to be a writer, but you have to build a readership somehow.

I promise you, not many people will just go out and buy an eBook from some guy they’ve never even heard of, even if the eBook is only two dollars. Not only will having a strong online presence get more people to pay for your book, it may also attract the attention of agents and publishers.

Promote Your eBook to Other Audiences

Hopefully you already have your own online following which you have effectively promoted your new work to. If you are getting ready to finally publish your eBook, now would be the perfect time to guest post on other people’s blogs. Perhaps you can even post about the experience of writing your own eBook (although obviously try not to be overly self-promotional or people will just see the post as a vapid promotional attempt and look past your actual work).

Now is your time to convince as many people as possible that you have valuable things to say and you can say it well.

How To Make Your eBook Successful ?

In order to create a successful eBook, all you need to provide valuable information and showing it to the right audience.

Any one can compile an eBook but do that eBook is reaching the right audience ? and do that eBook helps the audience to solve their problem ?

When you are saying “Yes” to these questions, I am damn sure that you have made a successful eBook.

Okay, let me digg into this topic more and I will tell you the exact steps on how to make a successful ebook.

  • First, you have to decide the topic for your eBook or the market. This decides the 50% success of your eBook. Because, when there is high market demand you can easily find lot of buyer’s for your eBook.
  • Once you identified the market, you can list down the problems or the needs in that market. This way, your eBook will become a solution for the problem. Addressing problems through your eBook attracts lot of readers who are having that problem and you can easily create a buzz in the market.
  • Have an attractive Title for your eBook and make a professional design from cover-to-cover (there are sites to create eBooks online).
  • Finally, marketing plays a major role. Even if you deliver a best eBook, it won’t sell by-itself. You have to brand it and market in all possible ways so that you can attract large audience for your eBook.
  • You can also have affiliates to promote your eBook by shaing a commission for every sale. This way, your eBook goes viral and markets by-itself. You get more audience, more buyers and you will make more money !

As mentioned earlier, you can create a blog dedicated to your eBook and share articles related to the eBook’s topic. Also, you must create social media presence for your eBook using Twitter, Facebook, Google plus and other social media tools.  This way you can attract people who are interested with your eBook’s topic and this creates more chances of selling your eBook to those interested people.

  • As a next step, you can setup a series of email tutorial to help people who are interested in your eBook’s topic and build an email list.
  • The advantage is that, you can release a next version of your eBook or yet another new eBook on the same topic and instantly bring buyers.

Creating a successful eBook requires a lot of dedicated work, you must plan each and every step carefully so that you can deliver the best eBook than anyone else in the market. Think that your eBook is a business product and work accordingly, definitely your eBook rocks !
